Learning to Learn is the ability to pursue and persist in learning, to organise our own learning, through effective management of time and information. It includes awareness of the learning process, our needs and preferred learning strategies, the strengths and weaknesses of our skills and qualifications; identifying available opportunities; and the ability to overcome obstacles in order to learn successfully. It means gaining, processing and assimilating new knowledge and skills as well as seeking and making use of available guidance and support.

Learning to Learn helps us build on prior learning and life experiences in order to use and apply knowledge and skills in a variety of contexts – at home, at work, in education and training. This is an imperative skill to survive and adapt to a constantly changing world.

शिकायला शिकणे

वेळ आणि माहिती यांच्या प्रभावी व्यवस्थापनातून शिकण्याचा पाठपुरावा करण्याची, तसेच चिकाटीने शिकत राहण्याची क्षमता म्हणजे शिकायला शिकणे होय. या मध्ये शिकण्याच्या प्रक्रिया आणि गरजा याबद्दलच्या जागरूकतेचा, आपल्या पसंतीच्या शिकण्याच्या पद्धतींच्या आकलनाचा, आपली कौशल्ये आणि पात्रता याबद्दल जमेच्या आणि कमकुवत बाजू ओळखण्याचा समावेश होतो. तसेच उपलब्ध संधी ओळखण्याचा आणि यशस्वीपणे शिकण्यासाठी अडथळ्यांवर मात करण्याच्या क्षमतांचा यात समावेश होतो. या क्षमतेचा अर्थ, नवीन ज्ञान आणि कौशल्ये मिळवणे, त्यावर चिंतन, सराव इत्यादी प्रक्रिया करून ती आत्मसात करणे असा आहे; त्याचबरोबर उपलब्ध मार्गदर्शन आणि साहाय्य यांचा शोध घेऊन त्याचा उपयोग करणे असाही आहे.

शिकण्यासाठी शिकणे हे कौशल्य आपल्याला आपले पूर्वज्ञान आणि जीवनातील अनुभवांचे उपयोजन घरी, कामाच्या ठिकाण इत्यादी विविध ठिकाणी करण्यासाठी उपयोगी पडतेतसेच ते आपल्याला शिक्षण व प्रशिक्षण घेण्यासाठी सहाय्य करते. जगण्यासाठी आणि धावत्या जगातील अद्यावत घडामोडी आणि सुधारणा यांच्याबरोबर गती राखण्यासाठी शिकायला शिकणे हे एक अनिवार्य कौशल्य आहे.

शिकायला शिकणे या कौशल्याची व्यवहारातील अभिव्यक्ती

हे कौशल्य आत्मसात केलेली व्यक्ती पुढील काही गोष्टी करण्यासाठी सक्षम झालेली दिसते

सीखने के लिए सीखना / पहल करना

यह जानकारी तथा समय के प्रभावशाली प्रबंधन द्वारा सीखने की प्रक्रिया को संगठित करते हुए उसे पाने के लिए दृढ़ता पूर्वक प्रयत्न करने की क्षमता है । अपनी आवश्यकताओं तथा सीखने की प्रक्रिया के प्रति जागरूकता, सीखने की प्रक्रियाओं को समझना, हमारे कौशल तथा योग्यताओं के प्रभावशाली ओर कमजोर मुददे, उपलब्ध मौकों को पहचानना, सफलतापूर्वक सीखने के लिए बाधाओं को पार करना, यह सारी बातें सीखने के लिए पहल करना इस जीवन कौशल में शामिल है । इसका अर्थ उपलब्ध मार्गदर्शन तथा सहयोग से नए ज्ञान और कौशल को प्राप्त कर प्रक्रिया में लाते हुए एकत्र करना है।

सीखने के लिए पहल का यह कौशल हमें अपने पूर्वज्ञान / सीख और जीवनानुभव को प्राप्त करके उसे घर, कार्यक्षेत्र, शिक्षाक्षेत्र प्रशिक्षण के दौरान इस्तेमाल और जीवन में उसका उपयोग / लागू करने के लिए सहायता करते है। यह बदलते समाज की नयी व्य‌वस्था और नयी विकास प्रणालियों के साथ अपने आप को जीवित रखते हुए उसे स्वीकारने का अनिवार्य जीवन कौशल (सीखने के लिए पहल) है।

सीखने के लिए सीखना / पहल करना इस कौशल के व्यवहार में

व्यक्ति यह करने में सक्षम हो सकेगा :

  • वह किस तरह अच्छा सीख सकते हैइसके बारे में सोचना।
  • अपनी कार्य पद्धति तथा समय का प्रबंधन करना।

ಕಲಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಕಲಿಯುವುದು ಕೌಶಲವು ಪೂರ್ವಕಲಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನದ ಅನುಭವಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೌಶಲಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಲು  ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕಲು ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇದು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ಕೌಶಲವಾಗಿದೆ.

ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಈ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದು:

  • ತಾವು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಕಲಿಯಬಹುದೆಂದು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವುದು 
  • ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದು 
  • ಅವಿರತವಾಗಿ ಕಲಿಯುವುದು 
  • ಏಕಾಗ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸುವುದು 
  • ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೌಲ್ಯಾಂಕಿಸುವುದು 
  • ಕಲಿಕಾ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದು 
  • ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲಹೆ, ಹಿಮ್ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದು 
  • ಕಲಿಕಾ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಗುರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಮರ್ಶಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಪರ್ಯಾಲೋಚಿಸುವುದು 
  • ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರ ಅನುಭವಗಳಿಂದ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಕಲಿಯಲು ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿರುವುದು
