Voices is a nationwide engagement with youth, parents and teachers to capture their inputs and translate them into insights that can inform policy and implementation of life skills. LSC strongly believes that communities hold the power to influence long-lasting change, especially when it comes to education.
Progress So Far
In Year 1, LSC-Voices, with the support of its partners, conducted a phone survey with 25,000 + stakeholders in 7 languages from across 11 states of India. LSC surveyed adolescents aged 11-14, youth aged 15-22, parents and teachers in schools and industrial/ vocational training institutes.
Planning for Year 2
In Year 2, LSC plans to collect inputs from 70,000 stakeholders across 20 states of India. Data collection and survey tools will be available in pen-paper and digital forms.
We are inviting organisations to join us and contribute to our efforts of capturing voices of diverse stakeholders and bring inputs from these stakeholders to the forefront and inform the life skills ecosystem.
Requesting Contributor Support
in Year 2 Data Collection Exercise
For Year 2, the following stakeholders will be surveyed using pre-designed survey tools. Tools will be designed in a way that can be used for self-administered surveys (pen and paper based or digital methods) or enumerator-led surveys (pen and paper based or digital methods). The contributor can choose from the two tool formats: Self-administered tools or Enumerator-led tools.

How can Contributors Participate?
- Sign up to participate in Year 2 Voices and contribute to conduct the survey with one or more stakeholders
- Participating in Pilot exercise to test survey tools and data collection systems and provide feedback on tools and system design
- Support and contribute to the translation of tools in the language of operations
- Participate in Voices workshops and planning meetings to understand Voices data collection process (July-August)
- Coordinate Voices survey activities in region of work and with selected stakeholders; conduct survey trainings for enumerator teams, supervise data collection etc.
- Collect data using Voices tool from November 2022 to mid-December 2022 in the tools developed by LSC Voices
