व्यावहारिक गणिती क्षमता

समाजात आणि व्यावसायिक ठिकाणी काम करतांना गरजेनुसार गणिताचा वापर करण्याची, गणितीय माहितीचे आकलन करून त्याचा वापर करण्याची, आकडेमोड करण्याची, गणितीय माहिती कुशलतेने हाताळण्याची आणि गणितीय माहिती दुसऱ्यांना देण्याची क्षमता म्हणजे व्यावहारिक गणिती क्षमता होय. आपल्या दैनंदिन आयुष्यात संख्यांचा वापर, धारणा आणि आकलनाची क्षमता म्हणजे व्यावहारिक गणिती क्षमताच असते. भिन्न परिस्थितीत गणितीय मागण्यांचे प्रभावीपणे व्यवस्थापन करण्यासाठी आपल्याला आवश्यक असणाऱ्या ज्ञानाचा आणि कौशल्यांचा यात समावेश असतो.

आधुनिक जगात उत्कर्ष होण्यासाठी दैनंदिन आयुष्याच्या आणि व्यावसायिक आयुष्याच्या संदर्भातील अत्यंत गरजेचे असणारे हे काही मुख्य कौशल्यांपैकी एक कौशल्य आहे.    

व्यावहारिक गणिती क्षमता या कौशल्याची व्यवहारातील अभिव्यक्ती

हे कौशल्य आत्मसात केलेली व्यक्ती पुढील गोष्टी करण्यासाठी सक्षम झालेली दिसते.

  • कामाशी किंवा समुदायाशी संबंधित असलेल्या मूलभूत संख्यात्मक माहितीच्या आणि आलेखात्मक (ग्राफिकल) मांडणीच्या संयोजनातून मांडलेल्या माहितीच्या अर्थाची उकल करणे आणि त्यावर मनन करणे.
  • परीमाण आणि संख्या, साचे आणि नातेसंबंध, माहिती इत्यादीं सारख्या गणितीय संकल्पनांविषयी माहिती एकमेकांसमोर व्यक्त करणे.
  • वस्तू, चित्रे, सांकेतिक चिन्हे, संख्या, तक्ते किंवा कोष्टक, आलेख इत्यादींचा समावेश असलेल्या साध्यासोप्या गणितीय माहितीचे सादरीकरण करणे.
  • गणिताचा किंवा गणितीय गृहितकांसह असणाऱ्या कोणत्याही इतर विषयाचा पुढील अभ्यास सुरु ठेवण्यासाठी अत्यावश्यक असलेली गणितीय कौशल्ये हाताळणे.

संख्यात्मक काम पर और सामान्य रूप से समाज में कार्य करने के लिए आवश्यक स्तर पर गणित का उपयोग करने, गणितीय जानकारी को समझने और उपयोग करने, गणितीय जानकारी की गणना तथा जोड़तोड़ करने, परिणामों की व्याख्या करने तथा गणितीय जानकारी को संप्रेषित करने की योग्यता है, यह हमारे दैनिक जीवन में संख्याओं का उपयोग करने और समझने की क्षमता है   इसमें विविध स्थितियों की गणितिय मांगों को प्रभावी ढंग से प्रबंधित करने के लिए आवश्यक  ज्ञान और कौशल शामिल है

यह उन प्रमुख कौशलों में से एक है जिनकी हमें आधुनिक दुनिया में रोजमर्रा के जीवन के सम्बन्ध में कामयाब होने की आवश्यकता है, तथा कार्यक्षेत्र में यह कौशल महत्तवपूर्ण है
