Adaptability is the ability to modify our thoughts and behaviour to effectively respond to uncertainty, new information, changed circumstances or different people. It includes adjustments in our thinking, emotions and behaviour in response to change, to demonstrate enhanced outcomes. It is our ability to respond to change and a willingness to learn new ways to accomplish work activities and objectives.

As a skill, Adaptability is essential to our psychological health, social success, and academic and workplace achievement.

Adaptability In Action

The person will be able to:

  • Be open to accepting change.
  • Learn new methods and practices as the situation requires.
  • Look for ways to make changes work rather than only identifying why change will not work.
  • Think and act effectively under pressure.
  • Adjust timelines, results, and expectations appropriately when requirements change.
  • Shift strategy or approach in response to the demands of a situation.

समायोजन क्षमता

समायोजन क्षमता (जुळवून घेण्याची क्षमता) ही एक अशा प्रकारची क्षमता आहे ज्यामुळे आपल्याला अनिश्चितता, नवीन माहिती, बदलती परिस्थिती किंवा वेगवेगळ्या व्यक्ती यांना प्रभावीपणे प्रतिसाद  देण्यासाठी आपले विचार आणि वर्तणूक यात योग्य बदल घडवून आणता येतात. यात बदलानुसार प्रतिसाद देण्याच्या, उच्चस्तर निष्पत्तीचा आविष्कार दाखविण्यासाठी आपले  विचार, भावना आणि वर्तणूक यांच्यात कराव्या लागणाऱ्या  आवश्यक  तडजोडींचा समावेश असतो.   बदलत्या परिस्थितीला  प्रतिसाद  देणे, आपल्या कामाविषयीच्या कृती  आणि उद्दिष्टे पूर्ण करण्यासाठी नवीन कार्यपद्धती शिकण्याची इच्छा बाळगणे असे या क्षमतेचे स्वरूप  आहे.

एक कौशल्य म्हणून आपले मानसिक आरोग्य, सामाजिक यशस्विता तसेच शैक्षणिक आणि व्यावसायिक क्षेत्रात चांगली कामगिरी साधण्यासाठी हे कौशल्य  असणे प्रत्येकास आवश्यक  आहे.

  • खुल्या मनाने बदल स्वीकारण्याची तयारी असणे.
  • परिस्थितीच्या आवश्यकतेनुसार नवीन कार्यपद्धती  शिकणे.
  • बदल घडणे  का शक्य होणार नाहीअसा नकारात्मक  शोध घेत राहण्याऐवजी  इच्छित बदल घडून  यावेत  यासाठी मार्ग शोधणे.
  • तणावाखाली असताना देखील  प्रभावीपणे  विचार आणि कृती करणे.
  • गरजा  बदलतात त्यावेळी त्यानुसार  साजेशा कालमर्यादा , निष्पत्ती आणि अपेक्षा  सुयोग्य रीतीने जुळवून घेता येणे.
  • एखाद्या परिस्थितीच्या मागणीनुसार तिला प्रतिसाद देताना धोरण किंवा दृष्टिकोन यात बदल करणे.
